History

Three generations of commitment, respect for seafood and the desire to evolve to offer our customers the best fish and seafood. Our family business began in the 50’s, selling fish on a bicycle that had been modified to carry one or two boxes of fresh fish, every day in the towns near Valladolid.

And it is precisely our humble and inspiring origins that have driven us to continue evolving, growing and developing new products and brands that meet the needs of our customers in the seafood sector.

In those early years, the fish arrived directly from A Coruña to the train stations of Medina del Campo and Nava del Rey, always packed with ice to ensure its freshness. And thanks to the daily effort, the business grew until in 1982 the first of our fishmongers was opened in Nava del Rey: synonymous with freshness and quality.

Over time, we expanded our offer by opening a supermarket in the square of Nava del Rey, where the fish section has always been the main protagonist. Because we carry the fishmonger in our DNA.

And our tenacity and commitment to our customers have paid off and have led us to become a reference in the distribution of fish and seafood from the best fishing grounds in the world.

Our CEO, Iván Rodríguez, represents the third generation of fishmongers and has a solid focus on innovation, maintaining his family’s legacy and committed to the same passion for service and respect for tradition and raw materials.

Values with which Iván continues to look to the future, with the same family spirit and dedication that have made Alondra Seafood what it is today: a consolidated seafood distribution group operating in more than 15 countries.
